After gaining some understanding of how to sculpt and model in Virtual Reality our first assignment was to create a complex object using the subdivision tool in Gravity Sketch. Motivated by a profound appreciation for Japanese artwork, particularly drawn to the Foo Guardian statues, I aspired to replicate this intricate form, thereby undertaking a challenge that pushed the boundaries of my new skill set.
The Process
At the time of creating this project, I encountered the challenge of employing subdivision tools and requisite supplementary resources to fashion a structurally intricate object. Leveraging the diverse array of tools available in Gravity Sketch, I embarked on the sculpting process, strategically incorporating textures that deviated from the conventional applications associated with the primitive shapes inherent in the software.
